Don’t Do This to Your Body…

Don’t Do This to Your Body

As you know, nobody in their right mind would pour a water/fuel mix into their car, desiring for it to perform its best.

Sadly however, many do something similar with their own bodies.

We all want to live disease-free, high energy, high impact and productive lives, yet we often don’t fuel our bodies for success and then wonder why it is not performing as hoped.

Worse yet, many have come to believe that their lower level of performance from the boardroom to the bedroom is just “normal” and part of aging.

I am a 51-year-old that is here to tell you that thankfully it is NOT!

Did you know that how you fuel your body plays a critical role in ensuring high performance living across all aspects of life - our marriage, parenting, service to others, and yes, our careers

As a younger man, I recall being so engrossed in my daily activities, completely oblivious to the strong influence my nutritional habits were having on my overall well-being, including my physical and mental performance.

Superior nutrition, however, is the backbone of health and vitality, and provides us the energy we need to navigate our roles effectively, keeping us focused, resilient, and strong.

Here’s how.

In the realm of marriage, adequate nutrition enables us to show up as our best selves for our spouse. A well-nourished body and mind can better handle stress, improve mood, and increase the capacity for empathy and understanding, thereby fortifying the bonds of marriage.

When it comes to parenting, good nutrition is essential not only for maintaining our own energy levels but also for setting an example for our children. Teaching them the value of healthy eating habits contributes significantly to their development, both physically and mentally.

In the service of others, superior nutrition gives us the endurance to contribute wholeheartedly. Whether it's volunteering for a cause, helping a neighbor, or supporting a friend, a healthy diet provides the energy and mental clarity required to assist others effectively.

Our careers also benefit immensely from good nutrition. It boosts our cognitive function, aids in decision-making, and improves productivity. Moreover, it can help combat work-related stress and burnout, enabling us to sustain long-term career growth.

It’s important to understand that a commitment to superior nutrition is a commitment to a life lived at its fullest. It empowers us to thrive in all areas of our lives, fostering not just our personal growth but also our ability to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.

Let's take this step towards health together, enhancing our vitality and contributing to a high performing, high impact living that can more effectively bless those around us.
