Biblical Success Principle #4 (of 7)
Apr 05, 2023Today I’m excited to share biblical success principle #4 of the 7 biblical principles that I shared on my podcast a few weeks ago…
The goal of our work!

Now let's get right to biblical success principle #4 and discover the goal of our work.
Matthew 5:16 tells us to “let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
We see here that the ultimate goal of our work, as bible believing Christians, is not just a means to earn a living but it should also be a way to serve and glorify God and point others to Him.
Did you know that worship is so much more than just music?
Of course you did, but have you stopped to consider that our work can be a form of worship, when we do it with the right motivation and attitude?
Here are a few benefits of doing our work for God:
- Our work can be a witness to others and can open up opportunities to share the good news of the gospel as we do our work with integrity, honesty, and excellence,
- It honors God when we do our work with intention, acknowledging that He is the source of our talents and abilities that we use to make a positive impact on others.
- When we do our work for God, we find greater joy, meaning and fulfillment in knowing that we are using our talents and abilities to serve a higher purpose.
- We are less likely to be motivated by selfish ambition or the desire for personal gain when we are doing our work for God. We can remain focused on doing what is right and pleasing to God, rather than simply what may bring us immediate rewards or recognition.
In summary, doing our work for God is an essential part of our Christian faith and is biblical success principle #4.
Next week I’ll share biblical success principle #5.
